In particular, we are in search of these topics:
Articles with a Canadian focus related to Canada’s fresh food sector, including fruits, vegetables, potatoes, and pulses.
New tools, technologies, and procedures related to growing and processing fresh food in Canada.
Interesting trends and forecasts related to growing and processing fresh food in Canada.
Safety issues, concerns, and solutions related to agriculture, and growing and processing fresh food in Canada.
Writing for The Produce & Pulse Journal is a win for you and a win for the magazine!
You get to share your ideas, research, and expertise with thousands of readers! The Produce & Pulse Journal gets expert articles directly from the industry it represents!
Submission guidelines:
- All submissions must pertain to Canada.
- Submission priority will go to contributors that are supporting the magazine through advertising dollars.
- Articles should not be company promotional. Only industry-specific articles will be accepted. (If you’re interested in company or product promotional material, please inquire about advertorial and blog options).
- Submit a brief article abstract (50-100 words) outlining the proposed topic and authors.
- You will be notified if the abstract has been accepted and a full article should be written.
- Word counts will be provided to writers by the editor.
- Articles that come in over the given word count will be edited.
- Photos are welcome and encouraged. They must be high resolution (at least 300 dpi) jpg or tiff files.
- An author bio (25-50 words) and headshot must be included with the article. At least one author on the byline must live/work in Canada. Preference is given to Canadian contributors.
Take note:
- The Produce & Pulse Journal has the right to pull a finished article if it does not meet expectations or does not follow the abstract outline originally provided.
- The Produce & Pulse Journal has the right to pull a finished article if it is company or product promotional.
- The Produce & Pulse Journal has the right to edit articles for grammar, spelling, etc. A proof of the layout will be provided to the author before press.
